THE CRAFT
Hand-coded, not stock.
There are no stock images and no AI-generated art on obolo. Every pattern is rebuilt from its underlying geometry, line by line, as original vector artwork — so it stays razor-sharp at any size and can be recolored freely.
Original SVG geometry
Asanoha is a real six-fold star on a triangular grid; seigaiha is layered concentric arcs. Each motif is drawn from its traditional construction, not traced from a photo.
Your photo never leaves your device
The wallpaper is composited entirely in your browser with the HTML canvas. Nothing is uploaded — we couldn't see your photo even if we wanted to.
Made for the status bar
Phones enlarge and crop wallpapers when you set them. obolo extends the pattern band so that after the crop it lands right behind your status bar — on iPhone and Android alike.

Sign-in is a single tap with Google, payments are handled securely by Stripe, and your purchase is linked to your account so it restores on any device. We keep the stack boring on purpose — so the craft can be the interesting part.
